Our Work: Girl Scouts of Mid-Continent Council

Three councils of the Girl Scouts have pooled their resources to create the Girl Scouts of Northeast Kansas and Northwest Missouri. This new council now includes more than 36,000 members in an 18-county area offering over 9 camps for girls aged 5-17 in the Topeka, St. Joseph and Kansas City areas. They asked Digital Lagoon to totally re-design their Web site to reflect these changes.

The new site is bright, simple and inviting, with links to regional camps and outdoor programs that include everything from archery to rappelling. Scouts and volunteers can download lists of available costumes, banners, flags and videos as well as science kits and sports equipment.

The site also includes a 24/7 e-commerce link that allows users to shop for uniforms, jewelry, badges, handbooks, key chains, hats, water bottles, pocket knives, music and more. Links are also provided for Girl Scout volunteers to check out program ideas, girl developmental tips and schedules for upcoming training sessions and conferences.
