Snorkel is a leading manufacturer of aerial work platforms used in the construction industry. All heavy machinery manufacturing companies face issues such as operator training, equipment maintenance and safety issues. The challenge was to develop training and maintenance applications that were easy to understand, easy to distribute and easy to update in a timely and efficient manner. Digital Lagoon developed an integrated communications campaign involving a series of safety and training videos in multiple languages, an e-Commerce Web site that served as an online product catalog and resource center and an interactive training CD-ROM. While the Web site allows users to find the latest technical specifications and service updates as well as order Snorkel parts online, the video and CD-ROM programs address safety and liability issues. These training programs promote stronger customer relations and a better perception of the product.

The Web site has many applications that are unique in the industry in additional to it's fully integrated e-Commerce solution. Digital Lagoon developed a product specification finder known as "LiftFind". This database application allows end users and dealers to submit specific criteria for their job and in turn get a listing of all the correct work platforms that match their criteria, along with product photos and specifications. The site is also used to publish Service Bulletins online, saving Snorkel thousands of dollars in printing, distribution and customer support costs. All Warranty information is handled online as well, allowing a much faster and more detailed response to be delivered to the customer by Snorkel personnel.
