We approach each site by listening to the client and determining the best way to present the company to its customers. We then apply our knowledge of web functionality to the design concept. By incorporating the ideas of the client, the creativity of our graphic department, and key functionality elements, we are able to produce a site that is unique, professional, visually pleasing, and user-friendly. Digital Lagoon always considers these as well as many other important factors in every design:

• Using a hybrid of Flash and HTML technology to ensure the site is visually appealing but is easy to update, downloads in a reasonable amount of time for all users and can be indexed by search engines.
  
  
• Creating a site that is 'clean' and contains as little clutter as possible on the page.
  
  
• Using colors and font treatments that are appropriate to the graphic treatment while still allowing for maximum legibility and use-ability.
  
  
• Creating a main navigational scheme that remains consistent throughout the entire site and is easy to understand. This gives the user a consistent point of reference and a navigational map that is easy to find and reference.
  
  
• Using dynamic drop-down menus that display all subsequent pages in a section to help make the navigation process as quick and easy as possible for the user.
  
  
• Keep the file size/download time of the page to a minimum by designing the page for a 56K modem and also optimizing it for broadband and above.
